My Universe–Coldplay & BTS

I don’t listen to Coldplay so I didn’t know what to expect with this song. Needless to say, I’m pleasantly surprised.

The song is very cohesive. Love the melody; love the vocals. It’s catchy with a chorus that’s easy to sing along without deviating from the overall mellow, steady vibe of the song.

The only complaint I have is that Jin and RM literally have one line and Jimin became the adlibs guy.

LOCO–ITZY

I’ve been on and off with ITZY. While I really enjoyed their debut song, Dalla Dalla, everything after that was just okay for me. LOCO is no different.

LOCO gave me Blackpink and 2NE1 vibes, especially the beginning. It seems like JYP wants to steer ITZY’s music direction back to its roots from the atrocity that was Mafia in the Morning.

LOCO sounds noisy to me, but it works because it doesn’t sound like it’s all over the place. Also, I like how there’s a vocal chorus.

I definitely enjoyed LOCO more than Mafia in the Morning, and I can see it growing on me. But for some reason, I didn’t get excited by this, and I’ve yet to figure out why.

But, geez, they all look stunning.
