A gift for Pavithra: Pavithra’s Kpop playlist

A huge thank you to Pavithra for supporting this project! Today was supposed to be the day where I voice my thoughts on this project, but Pavithra snuck in with a request. So, I thought I would do her playlist first.

I’ve followed Pavithra at Small Talks for a while, and I love how her personality shines in all of her posts. She’s also a big Kpop fan and has a lot of personal essays, which I find great to read.

Running – Gaho

Running is a soundtrack from the Korean drama, Start-Up. The lyrics talk about always running forward towards your dreams. I especially love the melody of this song.

What Do I Call You – Taeyeon

What Do I Call You is a breakup track. But I think the message it embodies can also apply to non-romantic relationships.

When a friendship or relationship breaks, you become stuck in this limbo. You aren’t really sure what to call the other person as your heart heals from this broken bond.

Stop Resisting – VIXX feat. Minah

This is a… sensual(?) track. But the melody slaps.

Pavithra advised to not rush into a decision about relationships, which I think is true. We are faced with external and internal pressure all the time, and to think about it rationally rather than follow our feelings may always be the better route.

This song talks about one out of the many struggles couples may face when in a relationship.

100 Ways – Jackson Wang

Pavithra listed some artists that she enjoys, so I’m going to drop some my favorite tracks from some of the artists she listed.

No matter what fandom you’re part of, I feel like everyone loves Jackson. He’s a hustler. This song is one of my favorites.

Bittersweet – WONWOO x MINGYU

I love this duo. This track gives me city-girl vibes, and I am living for it.

Grab a coffee and play this on a rainy day.

We’ve once again hit the end of the queue.

I hope you find a song you enjoy, Pavithra!
