A gift for Eggsandwich04: Eggsandwich04’s Kpop playlist

A huge thank you to Eggsandwich04 for supporting this project! I came across his blog sometime last year, and he’s a wonderful person to talk to!

We also share many similar interests. I’ve seen Kpop, Webtoons, anime, manga and more on his blog, so if you enjoy reading content on any of those things, check out his posts!

You can follow Eggsandwich04 at the following links:

I know Eggsandwich04 is a big Kpop fan. So I don’t know if I’ll introduce any new songs for you to check out.

Since everyone knows the title track, I decided to take on a challenge and only do B-sides and singles for this playlist.

Regardless, I hope you enjoy your Kpop playlist!

Do Re Mi – SEVENTEEN

Do Re Mi was the first song that popped into my head when I read his answers.

Do Re Mi talks about slowing down and thinking things through instead of jumping to a decision. Even if you aren’t sure where you’re going, that’s OK.

I also interpreted the song to be supportive towards whatever decision the other person ends up making. But at the same time, it also encourages them to follow their heart.

Based on his response, I got the impression that Eggsandwich04 is a person who doesn’t act on feelings. He calms himself down and takes the time to reflect and decide which decision is the best for him.

And whatever decision he ends up making, his loved ones would support his decision.

Epiphany – JIN

Eggsandwich04 talks about being yourself when in love or in a relationship. Now, I took this a step further to interpret this as always loving yourself first.

Epiphany talks about that message. It first talks about being unhappy in a relationship and realizing that he is the one that he should love. The song also questions why he was hiding his true self and wondering what he was so afraid of.

If someone can’t accept you for you, then move on.

Dolphin – OH MY GIRL

This is a lighter and follow-up song to Epiphany.

Dolphin is such a cute and catchy song. It talks about seeing or meeting your crush when you aren’t ready, like when your hair is a mess.

Eggsandwich04 advised trying not to embarrass yourself in front of your crush. I couldn’t think of a better song to depict this message than Dolphin.

While Dolphin is a cute puppy-love song, I also think it’s about finding humour in those embarrassing moments and just having fun.

Time and Fallen Leaves – AKMU

This song was supposed to be on an album, but it didn’t fit their concept(?) so it was released as a separate song.

I chose this song because Eggsandwich04 mentioned that there’s no point in remembering the past if someone has wronged you.

Now, Time and Fallen Leaves talk about taking a trip down memory lane.

I interpreted the song to mean that it’s reflecting on those times but moving forward with our lives, creating more memories that eventually fade away. So, it’s a song about a continuous cycle of letting go.

But it doesn’t mean you’ll make the same mistake twice. I interpreted Eggsandwich04’s answer to be about letting go of the past but it doesn’t mean you forgive that person for what they did.

Illusion – ATEEZ

ATEEZ is making waves, guys.

Eggsandwich04 mentioned that he likes to draw and blog. These are both creative hobbies.

ATEEZ’s Illusion is an aesthetically pleasing and creative music video where the members explore a wonderland-like world. The lyrics also talk about just having a good time.

Kpop music videos are known for their creativity, so there were too many choices to choose from. But I chose this song for its good and story-like vibes. After all, creative hobbies are usually telling a story. Plus, I want to show some love for ATEEZ.

I hope my answers and recommendations didn’t disappoint!
