Happy International Women’s Day: Powerful females tag

Happy International Women’s Day, everyone! I’d like to show some love to females (real or fictional) on this day. So, I thought it would be fun to create a tag celebrating powerful females we know of.

Rules:

  • Choose a female (real or fictional) for every prompt.
  • Tag at least one female blogger.
  • Pingback to Annie’s Powerful females’ tag.
  • Enjoy~

Name a female known for her intelligence

Let’s go back to the OG days and give some love to Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club.

For those not familiar with the character, Haruhi’s studies are vital because she’s from a middle-class or “poorer” family. She attends Ouran Academy, a school for the elites. So, keeping her grades up is essential to keep her scholarship.

Despite being book smart, I would say Haruhi is also street smart. She’s level-headed, understands her priorities, and engages in healthy relationships. She’s one of my favourite female characters ever. And, I think she would be a good role model for young girls.

Name a female known for her physical strength

I created this prompt just to celebrate Mikasa. Just kidding. Sort of. While there are other female characters with badass physical skills like Sakura from Naruto and Mouri Ran from Detective Conan, Mikasa wins this one. Though, I was tempted to name Lightning from Final Fantasy.

Mikasa is a prodigy. At a young age, she’s already flipping boys over her shoulder. After joining the military, she’s constantly mentioned as a military genius. Any Attack on Titan fan would know that Mikasa is a genius all-rounder.

Name a female who powered through difficult times

I’m going to name a recent character from a series I’m currently obsessed with: Heyool Shin.

This girl watched her friend’s suicide, survived her own suicide attempt, escaped flesh-eating bugs and cannibals, and watched people get radioactively deformed. She also keeps losing her memory and the one person she trusts throughout this whole mess.

I can’t imagine her mental state after all she’s been through. All of the characters in this drama deserve a shoutout, though… from the suffering the author keeps putting them through. Despite the insanely bleak circumstances, Heyool is still powering through. But, I mean, she has to. She’s the main character.

Name a female who you want to be friends/roommates with

I’m watching ‘Our Sister’s Soulmate’ and it has such a cozy, homey vibe. But what makes me really love this show is the female protagonist, Adachi Momoko.

I love her vibe. She’s level-headed, kind, and a great listener. She trusts her instincts and isn’t quick to jump to conclusions. Even though the person she’s interested in has a questionable past, she still makes an effort to hear his side of the story without automatically assuming he’s the one at fault.

Anyway, readers of the blog can expect a review on this drama soon.

Name A female who you think is a good role model

I’m going to name a celebrity here: IU or Lee Ji-eun, a veteran Kpop singer. While I obviously don’t know her personally, I love how she presents herself.

I’ve been a fan of hers for a long time, ever since junior high. She seems to be very humble and kind to the people around her. I also like how she gives her juniors a shoutout when they cover her songs. I recently watched her interview with SHINee, and it’s just 40 minutes of compliments and praise for each other. It gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside.

IU came from humble beginnings; she failed 20 auditions, got scammed, and lived in poverty to chase her dreams. Throughout her career, she received 200 award nominations and received 90 of them. She branched her career into acting and also won several awards for her work.

She also donated generously to numerous charities throughout her career. For the pandemic, she donated 3,000 medical protective gear and 4,600 cooling vests.

If I could go to only one concert for the rest of my life, I would go to IU’s concert.

Name a female who deserves the spotlight

Let’s go back to the fictional world. One of my favorite characters these days is Hikari Kuina from Alice in Borderland.

I’ve only watched the drama, so this will only be based on what I know of her drama character. While I was intrigued by her skills in the drama, I was more amazed at her backstory.

For those who don’t know, Kuina is a transgender character. She had gender dysphoria and relieved her dysphoria by wearing makeup.

While her father was furious, her mother encouraged her to follow her own path. But I also love how Kuina doesn’t resent her father. She still internalizes the lessons she learned from him and becomes a better person.

I hope to see more Kuina in the second season!

  1. Thank you so much for the Tag Annie, I don’t think I can put the tag out today but I will defo work on it!
You had some excellent picks yourself! I love the originality of this tag as well, and now we can ride that appreciation day vibe just a bit longer than a day! If my health allows it, you may find my response post in a couple of days! .. But health isn’t all that yet.. so I can’t make promises yet!

Thank you very much though and keep up the good work!
