A huge thank you to Ree for supporting this project! I’ve only talked to Ree a few times on the blog, and my first impression of her is that she’s kind and down-to-earth.
While her blog (Ree Aki) is in Malaysian (I thought this was Indonesian, ಠ_ಠ.), she writes her travels in Malaysia in English!
I hope you enjoy your playlist, Ree!
Pretty Savage – Blackpink
The fashionista queens are making their first appearance on someone’s Kpop playlist. This song was the first song that popped into my head when I read Ree’s answers.
I’m sure it was because of her response to dealing with people who have wronged her.
I don’t give a shit.
Ree
Get it, girl.
Time for the Moon Night – GFRIEND
This song could easily be an opening for an anime. It has a fun vibe that would work for a shoujo or school anime. Ree is a big anime lover, and I honestly just wanted to recommend all the songs that I put on my “Kpop songs that would work as anime openings“.
For this song, you should really thank Una from hallyureviews. She brought this song up when I did that post, and it’s a really fun song!
Time Of Our Life – Day6
This is one of my favourite songs by Day6. Again, this sounds like it was made for an anime. Someone actually paired this song with Haikyuu, and I loved it.
Bad Boy – Red Velvet
I’ve never looked into the lyrics of Bad Boy. When I did, I was pleasantly surprised. The lyrics remind me of a femme fatale, a mysterious and beautiful woman whose charms ensnares her lovers.
Ree advised that to not fall in love easily just because someone has a “good person” appearance. Solid advice. It’s best to know who you’re dealing with.
Do What I Feel – B.A.P
Do What I Feel is an upbeat song that talks about going at your own pace, trusting that you’ll get your stuff done, and just vibing with yourself.
I think Ree’s answer is quite realistic when it comes to chasing your dreams. If she’s financially stable, she’ll go for her dream. If not, she’ll put it off and go for it whenever she can. Everyone’s situation is different. So, I mean, just do what you feel is right and rock it.
This was the easiest Kpop playlist to do. I’m not sure why, but all the songs just came together so naturally that I didn’t spend nearly as long as some of the other playlists. You’re a special one, Ree.
Anyway, I hope you found a song that you enjoy!
