Anime couples and their Kpop love song

Valentines’ day is coming, and what could be better than me shamelessly promoting my favorite Kpop love songs.

Kazehaya & Sawako

Sawako scares her classmates because her appearance is similar to the ghost from The Ring. She’s quiet, shy, and doesn’t have a lot of confidence in herself. Kazehaya is is the boy that everyone loves and gets along with. In the beginning, he’s the only person to approach Sawako and treat her with respect. As they get closer, Sawako’s confidence grows and they slowly fall in love.

This couple will make you want to throw something at the screen and go ‘aww’ at the same time. They have a lot of sweet moments together, but I wished the plot would move a little faster. They are the definition of the ideal first love.

I think KyeongSeo’s Shiny Star is the perfect song for them. It’s innocent, sweet, and makes you feel warm inside. The lyrics talk about liking someone wholeheartedly. It’s very reminiscent of a first-love. The melody is also catchy like it’s adding that fun spark in young relationships.

Gouda & Rinko

Gouda is an unconventionally attractive male lead who falls in love with Rinko, a girl who’s like half of his size. For a good portion of the anime, Gouda believes that Rinko likes his best friend, not knowing that she’s head over heels for him.

Gouda and Rinko are so in love with each other that it’s sickeningly sweet. Their personalities are so similar that they just fit.

I think AKMU’s 200% fits them well. The melody is so catchy, and the lyrics talk about being 200% sure that they’re in love with the other person. It’s sweet, innocent, and has a youthful vibe to it.

Kousei & Kaori

Kousei has not touched the piano in over two years. When he meets Kaori, an eccentric and energetic girl, she helps Kousei return to the world of music and uplifts him. Kousei slowly falls in love with her.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t finish watching the entire anime. But I do love this couple. Their relationship is warm but bittersweet. What I love the most about their relationship is their constant support towards each other. While we, unfortunately, do not get to see this couple together physically, they have a very special bond.

I think IU’s Love Poem describes their relationship but also Kousei’s feelings after Kaori’s death. This song describes always being there for someone who’s having a hard time. Even if their world is dark, you’ll be their light. I love the piano instrumental. It makes the song sound melancholic and nostalgic.

Mugi & Hanabi

Hanabi is in love with her older childhood friend who is now her homeroom teacher. Mugi is in love with his past tutor in middle school. Hanabi and Mugi begin a fake relationship to satisfy each other’s loneliness.

I dropped this show pretty early on, but this couple was one that came to mind while writing this post. So, here they are. The entire premise of the anime is just… toxic. Everyone plays around with people’s feelings, and it feels like no one is genuine even towards each other.

Anyway, BTS’s Fake Love accurately describes everyone who is losing themselves in this mess.

Sasuke & Sakura

This couple is so well-known that I don’t think I need to give an explanation of their relationship. I don’t like or dislike this couple. But their relationship has been through some seriously turbulent times.

I don’t feel that much for Sasuke. If I was Sakura, I would feel start feeling slightly psychotic after all those painful encounters with Sasuke. But hey, everything turned out okay. If you know, you know.

Bonus: The White Blood Cell & Me

I’m looking at you, Netflix. When are you going to give us Cells at Work Season 2?

It was supposed to be released sometime in January. Even though it’s only been a month, I’m not fine.
