Thank you to Mallow at Secluded Observation for tagging me to share my favorite anime openings. If you’re looking for an anime blogger to follow, look no more.
If you’ve read any of my recent anime-related posts, you’ll know that I haven’t watched a new anime in a while. So, you’ll see a lot of throwbacks in this post. Without further ado, leggo.
Yura Yura – Hearts Grow (Naruto)
I don’t know what it is about this opening that stood out to me from all the other Naruto openings. But, I distinctively remember this one.
Maybe it’s the simple beat or build-up to the chorus. This one really brings back the days when the Internet would argue or debate over NaruHina or NaruSaku.
Try Again – Kuraki Mai (Detective Conan)
This is Detective Conan’s 2013 opening. Back then, it was on all of my playlists. Maybe it’s the catchy beat or the happy vibe, but this one stood out from the many openings Conan had.
Kuraki Mai also did some endings for Conan, and they are just as good. Some of my favorite endings by her are: Tomorrow is the Last Time, Koi Ni Koishite, and My Best Friend.
Make You Free – Kimeru (Prince of Tennis)
Prince of Tennis was my life when I was younger. Every time this song plays, I can picture the animation that went along with it. I would never skip this song.
Side note: I was never into rock music until I ventured into Japanese rock and later Korean rock.
Platina – Maaya Sakamoto (Card Captor Sakura)
Any Card Captor Sakura fans? All of the openings in this anime were gold. But I really like the chorus to this song. The nostalgia really hits. This makes me want to watch the entire anime again.
There will never be a magical girl anime that can top the original Card Captor Sakura.

First off, thanks for tagging me in this and the other tag Annie. I’ll try to get around to making and slapping them onto my blog before the year ends. I am kinda stumped about whether I’ll make a list of songs I like period or songs I liked from the anime I’ve seen this year…
And yes, I’ll always love Yura Yura from Naruto.

One of the best things about Conan is ironically its fillers. You don’t need to follow the plot so closely to know what’s going on. And if there are plot developments, you can easily read up on it to know what’s happening XD. You can jump in and out and won’t feel too lost. Give it a shot! 👍
